AN ORDINANCE TO REZONE A 5.28 ACRE TRACT OF LAND LOCATED IN THE C. BUR NETT
LEAGUE FROM DISTRICT NO. 1, FIRST DWELLING HOUSE DISTRICT TO DISTRICT NO. 6,
INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, AND MORE -PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS
IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on August
23, 1971, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the city limits,
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain tract or parcel of and lying and being
situated in the C. Burnett League, Abstract No. 7 and being a part of that land conveyed to
Pompey Banks and Adle Banks from H.H. Harrington by deed recorded in Volume 33, Page 30,
of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas and part of that land conveyed to Addilee Thompson
from Mrs. C. Mendola by deed recorded in Volume 19, Page 59, of the Deed Records of
Brazos County, Texas and being described as follows:
Beginning at the West corner at an iron stake in the South right-of-way line of county road
(Finley Road), said iron stake being located approximately 1420 feet north-east of the eastern
corner of the FM 2818-Finley Road intersection along the south right-of-way line of Finley Road.
Thence S 45-36 E 342. 8 feet to an iron stake for corner;
Thence N 45-00 E 749.4 feet to an iron stake for corner;
Thence N 44-48 W 235.5 feet to an iron stake for corner;
Thence S 43-42 W 250.5 feet to an iron stake for corner;
Thence N 47-08 W 113.0 feet to an iron stake for corner in the South right-of-way line of a
county road (Finley Road);
Thence S 45-00 W 499.2 feet along the South right-of-way line of the county road to the place
beginning and containing 5.28 acres of land more or less from District No. 1, First
Dwelling House District to District No. 6, Industrial District, and it is so ordained that said
change be effective immediately.
