AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY LIMITS OF
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council has held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.
on September 27, 1971 on the question of receiving certain territory into the city limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has heard all parties pertaining thereto, has
determined the following:
Upon compliance with Article II, Section 7, of the City Charter and applicable laws
of the State of Texas, the following territory s,4all be incorporated within the city limits;
Beginning at a point in the southw t righ y line of State Highway 6, said point
described as being approximately 5, 280 t so of the most easterly corner of a tract
of land conveyed to Area Progress Corpo i y Roy W. Kelley as shown in Volume 286,
page 292 of the Deed Records of Brags Co y, Texas,
Thence in a sou he st rly di do long the west right of way line of State Highway 6
a distance of approxim ely 194 ee a point for a corner, said point further described
as being the common c ner o the t right of way line of State Highway 6 and the north
right of way line of Barron Roa ,
Thence in a southwesterly d ection along the north right of way line of Barron Road,
a distance of approximately 775 feet to a point for a corner,
Thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of approximately 1, 700 feet to a point
for a corner,
Thence in a northeasterly direction a distance of approximately 675 feet to a point for
a corner, said point being 100 feet from the west right of way line of State Highway 6,
Thence in a northwesterly direction a distance of approximately 500 feet to a point
for a corner,
Thence in a northeasterly direction a distance of approximately 100 feet to the place
of beginning and containing 31.3 acres more or less.
