I am pleased to announce that the College Station Historic Preservation Committee has approved the building at 903 Texas Avenue (The Walton Medical Building) for a Historic Building plaque. We were able to gather enough information from public records to know that the building was eligible for a plaque (see the attached application), however, we would appreciate any information that you could share with us for future generations of College Station. We would particularly like to know how long this building served as a doctor's office, as well as any other information or interesting stories associated with the building, that you may recall. Any old photographs would also be helpful and appreciated. You may add this information directly to the copy of the attached application, and return it to us at: We would like to present your plaque to you at a College Station City Council meeting in the near future. Please call me at (409) 764 -3730 to schedule a date. The City Council meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month. We need about two weeks notice in order to get this item on the agenda. The price of the plaque is $95.00, however the fee for the plaque for this particular building has been waived. Again, I congratulate you on the approval of this building for an historic plaque. Sincerely, David Gerling Special Facilities Superintendent pas
