Petition to incorporate City of College Station [larch 24, 1938 •■•■■••■.... 7/14 )4 , THE STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF BRAZOS To the Honorable County Judge of Brazos County, Texas: On this 2nd day of "'.. , 1938, the undersigned fifty or more electors or qualified voters, residents of the unincorporated town of College Station, Texas, desiring to have an election called therein to determine whether aforesaid town shall be incorporated as provided in Chapters 1 to 10 inclusive and in Chapter 11 to which reference is made in Article 966 of Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the 1925 Revised Civil Statutes of the State of Texas, as modified' by Acts of subsequent legislatures, respectfully submit and would show the honorable County Judge that no similar election has been held within the last year; that aforesaid un- incorporated town contains six hundred inhabitants or over; that the town is to be called College Station, Texas, when incorporated: that a plat of the proposed town accompanies this application and that said plat contains no territory except that which is to be used for strictly town purposes and that they desire and pray that this town be incorporated, and hereby peti- tion this County Judge to order an election to be held in accordance with Article 1136 of Chapter 11 above referred to, in the following described territory of the Unincorporated town of College Station, Texas, to wit: Beginning at the N W corner of the A. and U. College Campus proper immediately opposite the Doyett Service Station corner thence Southwesterly along the Southern boundary of the Poultry Farm road to a point just beyond the A. and I.I. College Zoo lake; thence in a Southeasterly direction parallel to the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks to an intersection with the Northerly boundary of the A. & M. College Farms Center road South of the interlocking Tower on the crossing of the Railroads; thence Easterly with the North fence of same road prolonged to an intersection with the Southwesterly corner of the A. and M. Campus near the new Project Iaouses; thence with the Easterly boundary of the Old State Highway No. 6 in a Southerly direction along the Western boundary of the Dana property to the Fence corner just North of the Ed Hrdlicka residence; thence Easterly along the Hrdlicka Northern boundary line to the Southwesterly corner of College Park Addition; thence along the Southr?r boundary of College Park to its intersection with Oak Wood Addition; thence with the South and Easterly boundary of Oak Wood to a point in the North side of the present County Road South of the Campus; thence along the Southerly line of the A. and M. College property in an Easterly direction to an intersection with the Astern line of College Ellis Estates on the East right -of -way line of State Highway No. 6; thence Southerly along the State Highway No. 6 to the Southwesterly corner of College Iiills Estates; thence easterly along the Southerly boundary of. College Hills Estates a distance of 1000 ft. to a corner; thence Northerly to the Northeast corner of the intersection of Milner Street and Francis Street in College Hills Estates; thence with the Easterly boundary of Milner Drive to the North line of Walton Drive; thence Westerly with the North boundary of Walton Drive to the Northeasterly corner of the intersection of Walton Drive and Foster Avenue; thence Northerly with the Easterly boundary of Foster Avenue to the Southerly line of the County Road leading to the Ed Putz home; thence Westerly with the Southerly side of said county road to a corner which is the intersection of said county road right -of -way with the prolongation of the line marking the Easterly boundary of the Blue Top Tourist Camp site; thence Northerly along Eastern boundary of said Blue Top Tourist Camp site to a corner in the Coulter property line; thence along the Northern boundary of the Tourist Camp tract prolonged across State Highway No. 6 to a corner in the Easterly boundary of the &. and ?,i. Collefre land. thence Northerly with the said A mid V _ nnl l pie property line to the Northeast corner of said A. and M. College property opposite Grant's Station; thence westerly along the Southerly line of the County road formerly called the Sulphur Springs road to a corner in the prolongation of the Westerly boundary of the Artillery and Cavalry parade ground service road; thence Northerly along said Westerly boundary of said service road to a corner marking the Southeasterly corner of the A. and M. College Landscape Art Department Nursery; thence Westerly in a straight line to the Southeast corner of the fence surrounding the John Tauber homestead; thence Westerly to a corner of said Tauber yard fence; thence Northerly with said yard fence a distance of 493 feet to a corner; thence Westerly and parallel to the A. and M. Collage Northerly boundary to an intersection with the boundary fence between the W. E. Foster property and the W. C. Boyett Estate; thence Southerly with said division fence a distance of 200 feet to a corner; thence Westerly with a fence from the East corner to the Easterly right -of -way line of old State Highway No. 6; thence Southerly with said right -of -way to the corner of the A. and L7.
