The Bryan City Cemetery Books are valuable resources
for researchers working in the 1870 °s through early 1900'x.
These books have been microfilmed, but a typed copy seems to
be a better tool for research, and the Advertiser Editor has
offered to make this copy. As the copy is completed, these
books will be placed in the Archives of Texas A &M University.
Copying of the books is progressing slowly. There
are entries in more than one handwriting and this makes it
difficult to read. The copyist has tried in all cases to
record exactly what is in the books -- misspellings included.
One other word of caution: This is a record of the sale of
the lots not a record of who is buried in the lots.
