Put this date on your calendar and plan on a very interesting day: Fern Clark AINSWORTH will be our speaker for the day. She will be talking about the various immigrating groups to America (Palatines, Quakers, Irish, Scotch-Irish, Moravians, etc.) and then she will trace their diffusion after they arrived. Immigration, Migration and Migration Routes are topics we have all expressed interest in. This workshop will have appeal for each of us as we look to his- torical background to explain and understand our own ancestors. Mrs. AINSWORTH is a professional genealogist, lec- turer, historian, author, publisher and conducts many work- shops. She has done professional research in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. She has also researched in the French Archives and major archival records in Spain, including the Catholic records in Saragoza and Barcelona. She has also researched for ten years at the Latter-Day Saint Archives and has had all the courses offered in the genealogical field there. el Mrs. AINSWORTH attended the public schools of Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana, where she graduated at the age of fourteen. She attained her higher education at North- western State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, 'Utah, where she majored in American and European History. Twice Past President of Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas (ARK-LA-TEX) Genealogical Association, Inc. she is the pre- sent President of that organization and supplies many articles for their publication, THE GENIE, Issued quarterly. She is presently authoring a series of articles, 'Natchitoches Parish Notes,' for which the 1850 census supplies the basis for her.notes on the families she knows and/or has done detailed research on. See how impressive her credentials are?? -- and besides all that, you will like her. She is such an energetic, enthusiastic speaker; you're really going to enjoy this day! 135 136 WELBORN CEMETERY Brazos County. TX i Surveyed by Sandra and Kathy KARNES, Summer 1982.
