Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the meeting body will be present in the physical location
stated above where citizens may also attend in order to view a member(s) participating by
videoconference call as allowed by 551.127, Texas Government Code. The City uses a third-
party vendor to host the virtual portion of the meeting; if virtual access is unavailable, meeting
access and participation will be in-person only.
1.Call meeting to order and consider absence requests.
2.Hear Visitors.
At this time, the Chairperson will open the floor to citizens wishing to address issues not already
scheduled on today's agenda. Each citizen’s presentation will be limited to three minutes in order to
allow adequate time for the completion of the agenda items. Comments will be received and city staff
may be asked to look into the matter, or the matter may be placed on a future agenda for discussion.
A recording may be made of the meeting; please give your name and address for the record.
3.Informational Agenda.
3.1. Welcome new members to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

3.2. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding updates by the Director of Parks and
Recreation on matters pertaining to the Board.

3.4. Presentation, discussion, and possible action regarding annual update on Senior programs.

4.Regular Agenda.
4.1. Presentation, discussion, and possible action on the approval of minutes from the previous
meeting.

4.2. Presentation, discussion, and possible action on a recommendation to City Council for a resolution
authorizing the establishment of a Public Utility Corridor, for development purposes of the
Woodway West – Phase 1 Subdivision, on a portion of parkland generally located along the
southeast side of Holleman Drive W near its intersection with Jones Butler Road; along with City
Parks and Recreation Board

Council determination that the use of parkland property is allowable and that no other feasible or
prudent alternative exists for the Public Utility Corridor for the project, and that all reasonable
planning measures have been taken to minimize harm to such parkland.

4.3. Presentation, discussion and possible action regarding Bird City Texas.

5.Discussion and possible action on future agenda items.
A member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific
factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to
a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
6.Items of Community Interest.
The Council may receive reports from a Council Member or City Staff about items of community interest
for which notice has not been given, including: expressions of thanks, congratulations or condolence;
information regarding holiday schedules; honorary or salutary recognitions of a public official, public
employee, or other citizen; reminders of upcoming events organized or sponsored by the City of College
Station; information about a social, ceremonial or community event organized or sponsored by an entity
other than the City of College Station that is scheduled to be attended by a Council Member, another
city official or staff of the City of College Station; and announcements involving an imminent threat to
the public health and safety of people in the City of College Station that has arisen after the posting of
the agenda.
7.Adjourn.
The Board or Commission may adjourn into Executive Session to consider any item listed on the
agenda if a matter is raised that is appropriate for Executive Session discussion.
