Doris and Guy A. Franceschini
Guy Franceschini came to Texas A&M University in 1956 to work in the
Meteorology Department as a Meteorologist. He had served in the Army Air Force
during W orId War II. His overseas service was in Panama. He originally came from
Massachusetts. Doris Marie Gordon his wife also served in the Army Air Force in the
rank of Sergeant. Doris came from Indiana. She also served in Air weather service. She
trained as a pilot and did training.
Doris and Guy met at Langley Army Air Base. He received his Masters at the
University of Chicago. They have one son Guy. Guy and his wife Essie live in Devine,
Texas. They are the proud parents of daughters Hilary and Lana. Guy and his wife are
both registered nurses. They raise pecans and cows on their property.
