Brazos County Commissioner’s Courtroom 200 South Texas Avenue Bryan, TX 77803 AGENDA 1) Welcome and Open Meeting -Pledge of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags and Invocation. 2) Public Comments Regarding Items Not on the Agenda -Individuals who wish to address the Policy Board must fill out a Public Comment Card describing the topic(s) they wish to address. Public comment cards may be obtained from Lisa Lyon of the MPO staff prior to the start of the meeting. Please limit your comments to three minutes per topic. 3) Approval Of Minutes from the August 16, 2023 Policy Board Meeting -Consider adoption - Action Required. (See attachment.) 4) Staff Report • Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Discretionary Grant Program • The Mock Transportation Management Area Certification Review (See attached.) • Freeport to Fort Worth Freight Corridor/36A Coalition Meeting 5) FY 2024 – FY 2025 Unified Planning Work Program -The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) is developed by staff every two years to specify how federal transportation planning funds will be spent in the subsequent two federal fiscal years. Highlights of the UPWP include the five-year Metropolitan Transportation Plan development, to be adopted in December of 2024, Complete Streets planning activities, support for the Safe Streets and Roads for All grant and safety measurement processes, and review and update of the resiliency plan, the draft Congestion Management Process, and the Leveraging Local Resources document. Included in the UPWP this cycle is funding to hire a consultant to complete most sections of the Metropolitan Transportation Plan (excluding project call, project prioritization, and fiscal constraint). The Technical Advisory Committee recommended the draft UPWP for Policy Board adoption directed staff to open a 15-day public comment period. That public comment period is now completed. The Policy Board is being requested to adopt the FY 2024 – FY 2025 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) to guide staff activities and to direct the Executive Director to transmit the approved UPWP to the TxDot Transportation Planning and Programming Division for state and federal approval. Page 2 6) FM 1179 Preliminary Design and Public Outreach Efforts Presentation -Mr. Juan Quiroz, P.E. with the TxDOT Bryan District will share insights into the design process for FM 1179 between FM 158 (Boonville Road) and approximately Easterling Drive and the feedback received during the first public comment period. 7) Adjourn
