Looking over the stern of Spadefish, Tinosa comes to berth at the SIJ,. lard, Pearl
Harbor, vvhere It h~d all started nearlY Jour years before. The full power of the Navy can
be seeri here. The "aircraft carrier (one of which Is visible Just to the right of Tinosa) got
the lion's share of the glory, but it was the submarine that did the dirty work. Having
known much more intimately the danger of sailing alone into t~e en~tny's waters, they
