Colored Y.M.C.A.
On Monday night, January 13, several young colored men met at Lee
Chaoel M.E. Church and organized a Y.M.C.A. for the colored boys of
Bryan. Rev. C.C. Smith, pastor of the above named church, presided.
The following officers were elected: Rev. C.C. Smith, president; F.B.
Goosby, secretary; Henry Crawford, treasurer. All young colored men are
invited to attend Wednesday night, January 22, at Lee Chapel M.E.
Church. The purpose of the organization is to inspire and better the
condition of the Negroes of this vicinity.
