HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-2238 - Ordinance - 03/27/1997ORDINANCE NO. 2238 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2237 FOR THE PURPOSE OF APPOINTING JUDGES FOR THE CITY AND SCHOOL GENERAL ELECTION ON MAY 3, 1997. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas adopted Ordinance No. 2237 on the 13th day of March, 1997 ordering a general municipal election to be held on May 3, 1997; WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2237 included a partial list of election judges for service on election day; WHEREAS, the City Council has heard evidence that Bob Godfrey is readily available to serve as Presiding Judge and aean Ggdfrey is readily to serve as Alternate Judge for Precinct No. 32, Friends Congregational Church, 2200 Southwood Drive; Nelda Gilbert is readily available to serve as Alternate Judge in Precinct No. 33 and 35, Lincoln Recreation Center; Jean McDermott is readily available to serve as Presiding Judge for Precinct No. 31, A&M Consolidated High School; and Melanie Monroe is readily available to serve as Alternate Judge in Precinct No. 20, 21, and 61, A&M United Methodist Church. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, that the above mentioned residents of College Station are hereby appointed to serve in their respective precincts on the 3rd day of May, 1997.
