AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A 9,330 SQUARE FOOT (20
FOOT WIDE) PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT, LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN
THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 7, COLLEGE STATION,
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING A PORTION OF THE RESIDUE OF A
CALLED 58.30 ACRE TRACT DESCRIBED IN A DEED TO ARARAHO, LTD.
RECORDED IN VOLUME 354, PAGE 416, OF THE OFFICIAL RECORDS OF
BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING A RESIDUE OF A CALLED 17.42 ACRE
TRACT AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF WOODWAY VILLAGE, PHASE ONE,
RECORDED IN VOLUME 422, PAGE 867 OF SAID DEED RECORDS; AND BEING
THAT CERTAIN 20 FOOT WIDE PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT ALONG THE
SOUTHEAST LINE OF SAID 17.42 ACRE TRACT AS DESCRIBED BY EXHIBIT
"A" AND SHOWN IN EXHIBIT "B".
WHEREAS, the City of College Station has received an application for the abandonment
of a 9,330 square foot public utility easement, lying and being situated in the Crawford
Bumett League, Abstract No. 7, in the City of College Station, Brazos County, Texas said
portion being more particularly described on Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B"
attaebed hereto; and
WHEREAS, on June 24, 1999, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas,
heard the application of Arapaho, LTD. represented by Mr. Edsel G. Jones for the
vacation and abandonment of tbe aforementioned 9,330 square foot (20 foot wide) public
utility easement that lies within the Crawford Burner League, Abstract No. 7, according
to the plat recorded in Volume 422, Page 867, of the Official Records of Brazos County,
Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, that the 9,330 square foot (20 foot wide) strip of land previously platted as a
public utility easement, which lies within the Crawford Burnett League, Abstract No. 7,
College Station, Brazos County, Texas and more particularly described by Exhibit "A"
and shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto, be abandoned and vacated.
PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 24th day of June, 1999.
