HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-2416 - Ordinance - 10/28/1999ORDINANCE NO. 2416 AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A 0.078 ACRE (15 FOOT WIDE) PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT, LYING IN AND BEING PART OF LOT 9R-A, SANDSTONE ADDITION, AS DEPICTED BY PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 2685, PAGE 3164 OF THE OFFICIAL RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AS DESCRIBED BY EXHIBIT "lA" AND SHOWN IN EXHIBIT "lB". WHEREAS, the City of College Station has received an application for the abandonment of a 0.078 Acre (15 foot wide) public utility easement, lying in and being a part of Lot 9R-A, Sandstone Addition, as depicted by plat recorded in Volume 2685, Page 3164 of the Official Records of Brazes County, Texas said portion being more particularly described on Exhibit "lA"and shown on Exhibit "lB" attached hereto; and WHEREAS, on October 28, 1999, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, heard the application of Mr. Joe Ferrari, 2000 Spring Creek, College Station, Texas for the vacation and abandonment of the aforementioned 0.078 acre (15 foot wide) public utility easement that lies in and being part of Lot 9R-A, Sandstone Addition, as depicted by plat recorded in Volume 2685, Page 3164 of the Official Records of Brazes County, Texas; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas: Part 1: That the 0.078 acre (15 foot wide) previously platted public utility easement, which lies in and part of Lot 9R-A, Sandstone Addition, and more particularly described by Exhibit "lA" and shown on Exhibit "lB" attached hereto, be abandoned and vacated. Part2: That said ordinance shall take effect immediately after its passage. PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 28th day of October, 1999. THF~NCE S 85° 47' 45" B -176.50 feet with the common line between Lot 9R-A and Lot 9R-B, to a point for the PLACE OF BEGINNING. THENCE S 85° 47' 45" E -15.58 feet with said common line to a point for comer. THENCE S 11° 26' 51" E -226.68 feet across Lot 9R-A to a point for comer in the southwest line.
