HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-2462 - Ordinance - 08/10/2000ORDINANCE NO. 2462 AN ORDINANCE REZONING ONE TRACT OF LAND TOTALING 3.0 ACRES, BEING LOT 2, HOLLEMAN ARMS APARTMENTS, SITUATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 7, BEING 103 HOLLEMAN DRIVE, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That the City of College Station Zoning Ordinance #1638, more specifically the Official Zoning Map, be amended as set out in Exhibits "A" and "B", attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance for all purposes. PART 2: That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shall be held to be void or unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of the remaining provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. PART 3: That any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than Two Thousand Dollars ($2000.00). Each day such violation shall continue or be permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said Ordinance, being a penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (10) days aRer its date of passage by the City Council, as provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the City of College Station. ORDINANCE NO: 2462 EXHIBIT "B" PAGE 3 OF 3 I L CERTIFICATE FOR ORDINANCE We, the undersigned Mayor and City Secretary of the City of College Station, Texas (the "City"), hereby certify as follows: l.The City Council of the City (the "Council") convened in regular session, open to the public, on August 10, 2000, at the meeting place designated in the notice (the "Meeting'), and the roll was called of the members, to wit: Lynn McIlhaney, Mayor, and the following City Councilmembers: James Massey, Ron Silvia, Winnie Garner, Larry Marion, Dennis Maloney, and Anne Hazen All members of the Council were present, except all present , constituting a quorum. Whereupon among other business, the following was transacted at the Meeting: a written ordinance entitled: ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $8,100,000 CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 2000A AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO, INCLUDING IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVENESS (the "Ordinance") was duly introduced for the consideration of the Council and read in full. It was then duly moved and seconded that the Ordinance be finally passed and adopted; and at, er due discussion, such motion, carrying with it the adoption of the Ordinance prevailed and carried by the following vote: YES: 7 NOES: [1 ABSTENTIONS: 2. A true, full, and correct copy of the Ordinance adopted at the Meeting is attached to and follows this Certificate; the Ordinance has been duly recorded in the Council's minutes of the Meeting; the above and foregoing paragraph is a true, full, and correct excerpt from the Council's minutes of the Meeting pertaining to the adoption of the Ordinance; the persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph are duly chosen, qualified, and acting officers and members of the Council as indicated therein; each of the officers and members of the Council was duly and sufficiently notified officially and personally, in advance, of the time, place, and purpose of the Meeting, and that the Ordinance would be introduced and considered for adoption at the Meeting and each of such officers and members consented, in advance, to the holding of the Meeting for such purpose; and the Meeting was open to the public, and public notice of the time, place, and purpose of the Meeting was given, all as required by Chapter 551, Texas Government Code. 3.
