AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, "TRAFFIC CODE", OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY
AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS AS SET OUT BELOW; PROVIDING A
SEVERABILITY CL~iUSE; .KND DECI.,MIlNG A PENALTY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
PART 1: That Chapter 10, "Traffic Code", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
College Station, Texas, be mended as set out in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and made a part of this ordinance for all purposes.
PART 2: That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shall be held to be
void or unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of
the remaining provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shall remain in
full force and effect.
PART 3: That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
thereof shall be punishable by a fine of not less than Twenty-five Dollars
($25.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Each day such
violation shall continue or be permitted to continue, shall be deemed a
separate offense. Said Ordinance, being a penal ordinance, becomes
effective ten (10) days after its date of passage by the City Council, as
provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the City of College Station.

EXHIBIT "A"
That Chapter 10, Section 4 G, of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as
follows:
NQR.THGATE PRO. MENADE PARKING LOT FEES
(1) Fee Schedule. The following fees shall be charged for the use of a
parking space in the Northgate Promenade Parking Lot, located at 310
Chumh Street:

(a) Per hour fee
$ .50 from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
$ 1.00 ~om 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
(b) Per day fee: $ 4.00
(c) Special Event fee:
Hours of Operation.
Up to $10.00 per day
The parking lot shall be open to the public and monitored Monday
through Saturday from 7:00 a,m. until 2:00 a.m., and Sundays from
12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
(3) Exemptions.
(a)
A person may park a mctor vehicle in the Northgate Promenade
Parking Lot and is exempt from the above fees on Sundays
between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., and between the
hours of 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m.
(b)
A person may park a motor vehicle in the Northgate Promenade
Parking Lot and is exempt from the above fees if he parks the
vehicle in a parking space that is specifically for persons with
ghysical disabilities and there is displayed on the vehicle valid
isabled license plates or a valid disabled parring placard.
(c)
A person may park a motor vehicle in a .space designated by
signs and located in the Southern most port~on of the parking lot
free for a maximum of one (1) hour between the hours of 7:00
a.m. and 6:00 p.m. except when Special Event Parking mips are
in effect.
(4)
Violations.
It shall be unlawful to fail to remove a motor vehicle from the Northgate
Promenade Parking Lot by 4:00 a.m. each day.
It shall be unlawful to fail to display a valid parking slip on the front
dashboard of the motor vehicle visible from the outside.
