CaII meeting to order and consider absence requests. With a quorum present, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was called to order @ 6:02 p.m. on Tuesday February 22, 2022. David White and John Polasek requested an absence and Lisa Aldrich was an unexcused absence, upon a motion made, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the excused absence. The motion carried unanimously. Lisa Aldrich arrived at 6:18pm in which time and unexcused absence was now changed to present. 2. Hear visitors. > Patsy Johnson spoke about adding a proposal for Mabel Clare Thomas Park Pool. Debe Schafer explained that the original proposed park bond projects did not have this item proposed however since the last meeting it has been added to the proposed projects. > Steve Colson spoke about Mabel Clare Thomas Park Pool and the need of this pool to be a feature in the College Hills Woodlands area. Water safety is essential for this area as there is a high number of children in the surrounding apartments. 3. Agenda Items 3.1 Discussion and consideration of possible projects for a potential bond election 2022. The committee discussed the proposed bond projects as of February 22, 2022. Jennifer Prochazka gave explanations to the committee as to which projects were at the request of CMO office as per community concerns. After discussion, Don Hellriegel made a motion for a proposed bond project of 1.5M for pickleball courts. Lisa Aldrich seconded the motion. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed. The motion carried unanimously. Joel Cantrell made a motion for a proposed bond project of 1M for birding related facilities. Ann Hays seconded the motion. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed. The motion carried unanimously. 4. Adjourn. Upon a motion made by Ann Hays and second by Madeline Giroir, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed to adjourn the meeting at 7:06 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
