Call to order and Roll Call. The meeting was called to order with a quorum present at 7:00 PM. 2. Possible action concernina requests for absences of members.. A notice was received from Ida Bellows that she would be absent. Debe Shafer made a motion to approve the absence, and Sherry Ellison seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. 3. Hear visitors. Hearing none, this item was closed. 4. Consideration, possible approval, and discussion of minutes from the meeting of Auqust 13, 2013. There was a misspelling under future agenda items which is now corrected. Also, Billy Hart sent an e-mail informing David and Peter of his absence from the September meeting and that has been updated. Louis Hodges made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted (with the changes noted), and Debe Shaffer seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously. 5. Discussion and possible action concerninq Mr. Phillips written request for naming of the two Castleaate parks. Mr. Phillips presented his request for Castlegate II A to be named Dusty Phillips Park and Castlegate II B to be named Wallace Phillips Park. After discussion with the board, Shawn Reynolds made a motion to approve the suggested names and Billy Hart seconded the motion. The vote was called; two members voted yes and three members voted no. Then after further discussion from the board, Sherry Ellison made a motion to name Castlegate II A Phillips Park and Castlegate It B Wallace Lake Park. Shawn Reynolds seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor and the motion passed unanimously. The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. CHRISTMAS SCHEDULE The City of College Station continues its holiday tradition with Christmas at the Creek, a fun -filled weekend on Dec. 6 and 7 at Wolf Pen Creek Park, located at 1015 Colgate Drive. On Friday, Dec. 6, bring blankets or chairs to enjoy a musical and a movie. Local playwright Mark Taylor wrote a musical just for Christmas at the Creek that will have three performances. In conjunction with Movies in the Park, The Santa Clause will start at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, Dec. 7, children are invited to create festive wonders at the Lowe's Christmas Crafts Corner. Find the perfect gift at the Holiday Vendor Village where you'll find a variety of arts, crafts, jewelry, candles and more. Guests can also skate on the synthetic ice rink, go down the Log Jammer Extreme Slide, take a ride on Paw Paw's Party Train, play on inflatables and create a yummy snack in the Kroger s'more area. Be sure to stay for the Holiday Concert with live entertainment by Marcia Ball as well as other local dance and gospel performances. Each night will feature hayrides, a live nativity, petting zoo and photos with Santa. Admission is free. Guests may bring their own refreshments, but coolers must be 48 quarts or smaller and alcohol, glass containers and pets are not allowed. Food vendors will also be available. I've attached them and below is a summary of each one: • Aggie Manor Apartments (Neighborhood Zone 5, Community Zone B): this site plan proposes to construct 12 multi -family units at 903 Balcones Drive in Southwood Valley. The site plan is still under review and is going through some revisions. • Castlegate II Section 103 (Neighborhood Zone 13, Community Zone A): this final plat creates 39 single family lots and the plat will be scheduled for future Planning & Zoning Commission meeting after they build the infrastructure. As they are building the neighborhood park, only community park fees are needing to be paid by this phase. • Castlegate II Section 203 (Neighborhood Zone 13, Community Zone A): this final plat creates 32 single family lots and the plat was approved at the September 19th Planning & Zoning Commission meeting.
