A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
APPROVING THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE ANNUAL
RECONFIRMATION AND USE OF SERVICE AND EQUIPMENT TO BE PROVIDED
BY THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION IN THE EVENT OF A RADIOLOGICAL
INCIDENT AT THE TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY NUCLEAR SCIENCE CENTER.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, desires to protect the health,
safety and welfare of its population, including Texas A & M University; and
WHEREAS, the City of College Station currently provides fire and hazardous materials
emergency response to Texas A&M University; and
WHEREAS, an agreement providing an emergency response to a radiological event at the Texas
A&M Nuclear Science Center is required to be in place for Texas A&M University’s annual
inspection and review process by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; and
WHEREAS, the College Station City Council has routinely approved a resolution and interlocal
agreement regarding the City of College Station’s response to a radiological event at the Texas
A&M Nuclear Science Center; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas, desires to continue partnering
and collaborating by providing service, equipment and a response in the event of a radiological
incident at the Texas A&M Nuclear Science Center; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1: That the City Council hereby approves the Interlocal Agreement for the Annual
Reconfirmation of Services and Use of Equipment as attached in Exhibit A to be
provided by the City of College Station in the event of a radiological incident at the
Texas A&M University Nuclear Science Center and reconfirms City of College
Station Resolution No. 06-25-86-05, dated 25 June 1986.
PART 2: That the City Council hereby agrees provide a response to aid in the protection of
the health, safety, and welfare of the population by collaborating with its partners
at Texas A&M University.
PART 3: That the City of College Station delegates authority to the College Station Fire
Chief to execute the Interlocal Agreement for the Annual Reconfirmation of
Services and Use of Equipment.
PART 4: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE ANNUAL RECONFIRMATION OF
SERVICES AND USE OF EQUIPMENT

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE ANNUAL RECONFIRMATION OF
SERVICES AND USE OF EQUIPMENT BETWEEN THE TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY,
THE TEXAS A&M ENGINEERING EXPERIMENT STATION, TEXAS A&M
UNIVERSITY NUCLEAR SCIENCE CENTER AND
THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
This agreement reconfirms the agreement, as per City of College Station Resolution No. 06-25-
86-05, dated 25 June 1986. The City agrees to provide its Fire Department and EMS and use of
equipment to Texas A&M University, the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, and Texas
A&M University Nuclear Science Center in the event of the implementation of emergency plans.
Also, the City of College Station agrees to allow its Fire Department and EMS participate in an
annual training program to be presented by Texas A&M University, the Texas A&M Engineering
Experiment Station, and Texas A&M University Nuclear Science Center.

2. Ambulance Service
3. Emergency Medical Assistance
