HomeMy WebLinkAbout19771116 RESOLUTION CITY OF COLLEGE STATION WHEREAS, the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Services serves the Brazos County area, including the Cities of College Station and Bryan for the purposes of a research and information center to the public, and; WHEREAS, the location of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service is near offices of the state agricultural agencies and related agencies of the United States Department of Agriculture, and; WHEREAS, the relationship between the Agricultural Stabilization Service and other agriculturally oriented agencies has been extremely beneficial to all parties, and; WHEREAS, the economic advantages of movinq the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service from the area are limited and disadvantages to employees great, and; WHEREAS, the consolidation of agricultural agencies in the College Station-Bryan area could prove more beneficial; NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of College Station, representing the people of College Station, emphat- ically urges the United States Department of Agriculture to consider a delay in taking action until all facts are presented.
