HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-14-21-8.2 - Resolution - 10/14/2021RESOLUTION NO. 10-14-21-8.2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING DATE OF NOVEMBER 22, 2021, FOR CONSIDERATION OF AMENDMENTS TO LAND USE ASSUMPTIONS, CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLANS, AND IMPACT FEES FOR ROADWAY, WATER AND WASTEWATER. WHEREAS, the City Council adopted maximum assessable system-wide impact fees, and imposed reduced collection rates, on September 22, 2016 for water and wastewater, and on November 10, 2016 for roadways; and WHEREAS, § 395.054 Texas Local Government Code sets forth that a political subdivision must adopt an order or resolution establishing a public hearing date to discuss the amendments to the land use assumptions, capital improvement plans, and impact fees; and WHEREAS, the Impact Fee Advisory Committee for Roadways, and Water and Wastewater will review and provide written comments to City Council; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the aforesaid statutory requirement the City Council desires to call a public hearing to discuss and consider amendments to the land use assumptions, capital improvement plans, and impact fees, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That the facts and recitations set forth in the preamble of this Resolution are hereby declared true and correct. PART 2: That the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas hereby calls for a public hearing to be held during the Regular Council session on November 22, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers at 1101 Texas Avenue, College Station, Texas. The purpose of this public hearing is to discuss the amendment of City-wide roadway impact fees divided into four quadrants, water impact fees, and wastewater impact fees. PART 2: That City staff is hereby authorized and directed to notice said public hearing and to take all reasonable measures to give effect to this Resolution, including preparing notice in accordance with § 395.055 Texas Local Government Code. ADOPTED this 14th day of October, A.D. 2021.
