Completing Community Service Hours
• Once you are assigned your CSW hours to Community Services by the Municipal Judge and
Court, the program officially starts.
• Read over the Safety Requirements and Northgate Community Service Worker Program Rules.
You will then be required to sign the “City of College Station Release and Indemnification for
Community Service Program.”
• Hours for community service are:
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday Nighttime: 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM (two slots per day)
Tuesday through Friday Daytime: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (two slots per day)
• Shifts are scheduled in three-hour increment blocks. If you don’t complete an assigned task, no
credited time will be earned.
• Plan ahead when scheduling your hours. Make sure your CSW hours don’t interfere with
employment or school hours.
• Where to report for Community Service hours:
Location: College Main Parking Garage
309 College Main
College Station, TX 77840
The office is in the Northeast corner of the Parking Garage.
• To park in the garage, pull up to the gate and press for a ticket. You do not have to pay to park.
At the completion of your three-hour shift and the return of your assigned equipment and vest, the
staff supervising you will let you out of the garage. Please do not call 764-3600 unless it’s an
emergency. We are fully aware that you are scheduled to work and when you are finished. If there is an actual emergency dial 9-1-1.
• Cell phones are not permitted during working hours except for emergencies only. If you are seen
excessively using your cellphone, you will be asked to put your cellphone away and may not be
credited for hours in attendance.
• You must provide identification (DL or Student ID) and your Community Service Verification form to
Community Service staff when first reporting for duty. After providing proof of identification, you will
be assigned a task(s) and be given equipment. Upon completion of each task, you will report back
to the garage office for further instruction. At the end of your scheduled hours, you are required to
return all your equipment and orange vest. A staff member will then release you. Remember
you do not have to pay for your parking. NOTE: Your work will be checked to ensure that it
is up to standard.
• Do not show up for Community Service hours unless you are scheduled to work. If you are
exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, such as fever, headache, sore throat, loss of smell or taste,
please do not report for your hours. Contact your doctor or local care provider.
• Only one cancellation/no show is permitted. More than one cancellation/no show will result in
removal from the program. If you are late by more than 15 minutes, you will be given a “no show”
for that day. If you receive two “no shows” you will have to contact the Municipal Court and
go before the Judge again.
• When you have completed all your mandatory hours, you will be handed back your Community
Service Verification form to take to the College Station Municipal Court along with any other
required paperwork. This is your responsibility.
