What the final solution to the division
in American thinking will be we don't
know. We believe America and Bryan
and College Station are at a critical
point in the crossroads, a point which
more than ever calls for calm thinking
and objective 'consideration of all sides
of every issue.,
Taking the measure ,of a candidate
has never been more difficult.
This the Eagle urges-no, begs - the
voters of Bryan and College Station to
do before the eU'!ction~ Tuesday.
Study the responses' to thetagle
questionnaires. Fitld out all you can
about where each individual stands. Call
any candidate, right now, if you want
to know more about his thinking.
Right here, we wish to acknowlf'dge
the contributions made by the Bryan-
College Station Jaycees and radio sta-
tion KORA to the cause of informing
the electorate. The Jaycees sponsored
the on1y rally we know of where aU 10 .
Bryan candidates spoke. and KORA air-
ed the rally.
+ Perhaps the fact that the rally was I
l broadcast' accounts for the smaIl turnout I
i of about 350 citizens.. '
