Gill of College Station met with
the representatives of Moody's
Investment Service, Inc., in New
York Monday. .
The purpose of the trip was to
obtain a credit rating from the
investment service on the $840,-'
000 municipal bond "to save the;
city of College Station some
money interest," according to
McGill.
After explaining the financial
situation of the city, College f
Station was given an A rating,
the third highest rating, by the,
investment specialists, McGill
' ontinued.
Mayor Anderson commented,
1 am very pleased with the
ating. As a result of our visit,
feel it (the rating) will result

"a lesser rate of interest on
the bonds than we would other-
wise pay with a lower rating."
Anderson further stated that
notice of sale was being sent to
investment bankers.
The municipal bonds will be
sold July 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the
College Station City Hall, An-
derson announced.
The bonds will provide a new
city hall, a new fire station and
police headquarters and funding
for the East By-pass and roads
that the voters approved in the
jecent $840,000 bond election.
