Mayor Anderson,
City Manager Boswell,
and Davis McGill, fin-
ancial advisor to the
city, were in New York
Monday to appear be.
fore Moody's Investors
Service in behalf of a
rating for the bonds.
The Mayor was
gratified with the rating
received, and indicated
that such would no doubt
- be frelected in a lower
interest rate when the
bonds are sold.
Mayor Anderson in-
dicated that July 15
has been set for open-
ing bids on the bonds.
Money from the
sale of the bonds Will
be used to construct
the city hall, fire sta-
tion-police headquarter-
s, and provide monies
for the East By-Pass
and street improvements,
as earlier approved by,,,
'the public.
In conclusion, May-
or Anderson stated that
an architect would soon
be employed to develop
plans for the city hall
and fire station-police
f headquarters.
