WHEREAS, the Bryan-College Station Board of
Realtors is joining with many Of the other 1550
boards of the National Association of Real Estate
Boards throughout the country in observing Realtor
Week, May 18-24; and
WHEREAS, the Realtors of our community con-
tinue to contribute freely of their professional
skills in the successful work of civic and fraternal
clubs, government commissions and agencies, and
educational institutions of Bryan and College Station;
WHEREAS, the Realtors throughout this great
country of ours have undertaken the broad Make
America Better Program designed to help solve the
major problems of our cities and towns; and
WHEREAS, the bulk of the progress of our com-
munity is directly attributable to the competence
with which Realtors are taking part in the commercial
and industrial growth of our cities; and
WHEREAS, the Code of Ethics to which Realtors
are pledged places them in the forefront of the res-
ponsible organizations in this country and Realtor
Week is designed to acquaint the public with these
high standards of professional service provided by
Realtors;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Jack Zubik, Mayor of Bryan
and I, D. A. Anderson, Mayor of College Station,
do hereby proclaim May 18-24 to be Realtor Week
vance.
