been reprinted and a copy is
available to interested citizens,
Mayor D. A. "Andy" Anderson

The updated Charter includes
changes approved by the
citizens in the last two Charter
Change elections, Mayor An-
derson said. Copies are
available at City Hall.

in Texas, and
WHEREAS, trees en-

citizens, and
WHEREAS, each citizen
of College Station can
contribute to the beauty
of our city through the
planting of trees and
shrubs, and
WHEREAS, Governor
John Conally has en-
couraged the statewide
observance of Arbor Day.
NOW, THEREFORE, I,
D. A. Anderson, Mayor,
City of College Station,
do hereby proclaim Fri-'
day, January 17, 1969, as
Arbor Day in the City of
College Station and urge
all citizens to observe
this day with appropriate
plantings of trees and
shrubs so that our city
will be one of beauty and
a better community in
which to live.
