for beautification purposes,
College Station Mayor D. A.
"Andy" Anderson announced
today.
Saturday morning, Jan. 1s,
has been set as the date when
trees will be made available for
all College Station citizens, he
continued.
Those who desire trees should
go to the city cemetery where
city employees will mak
distribution, the mayor said.
Trees will be lifted with city
equipment and made available
in bare-rooted condition. It is
important therefore that they be
planted immediately.
Instructions in written form
will be given to all citizens who
secure trees Saturday morning.
These should be followed for
survival of trees, the mayor
said.
I am hopeful that many
citizens will take advantage of
this opportunity to plant trees,
and help make our city one of
beauty, he concluded.
