The Landlords I have heard from would like to be contacted long before it gets to that level. wĻƭƦƚƓƭĻʹ Sec 103-237 included the language "disproportionate number of violations" when the Rental Registration ordinance was originally adopted. Our current procedures include Code Enforcement Officers contacting tenants, property owners, and/or local contacts through door tags, phone calls, emails, and/or letters immediately when a violation are identified. As discussed previously, staff works to educate residents regarding ordinances to ensure voluntary compliance prior to enforcement action. The education is completed through these contacts.
