6)FY 2021 –2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) Amendment Two
-Due to changes in funding levelestimatesresulting from COVID-19, the TXDOT Transportation
Planning &Programming Divisionhas conducted a statewide review of proposed projects in the
Unified Transportation Programto ensure fiscal constraint. As a result of this review, MPOs in
the State of Texas are being asked to make adjustments to their FY 2021 –2024 TIPs. TIP
Amendment II includes multiple changes to the projects on Texas Avenue in Bryan and SH 6 as
well as adjustments to funding on FM 158. Finally, Brazos Transit District is requestingan
addition to the TIP to use a portion of their Section 5307 funds to fund transit planningand for
real estate acquisition. The Technical Advisory Committeereviewedthe changes and
recommendedTIP Amendment Two to the Policy Board for adoption. Action Required. (See
attachment.)

7)Establishing FY 2021 Roadway Safety Performance Targets
-Under FAST Act requirements, state DOT’s must set safety targets on an annual basis. The Texas
Transportation Commission took action to set safety targets for 2021.The FAST Act requires
MPOs to either adoptand supportthe state targets or set their own targets within 180 days of the
state setting its target. When the Policy Board and Technical Advisory Committee (TAC)reviewed
the safety targets last year, it was decided that the MPO should support the state target and not
try to set their own. The TAC recommended to the Policy Board that the statesafety targets be
adopted and supportedfor FY 2021.Action Required. (See attachment.)
8)Presentationon Adding BrazosCounty Specific Improvement Data to the Texas 100 Website
-Dr. Tim Lomax, P.E. Texas A&M Transportation Institute Research Fellow will discuss how area
local governments, through the Technical Advisory Committee,can provide the Texas A&M
Transportation Institutewith ourmitigation plans for roadway improvementson local segments
contained in theTexas 100 Congestion List.This would allow citizens to better understand that
we are doing all we can to identify and address congestion hotspots.
