Davis defeated his opponent Dr, Charles F, Hall by better than a 2-1 margin drawing 306 votes to 148 for Hall. Hall is a ,professor of veterinary micro- biology at Texas A&M. The election was called to fill ' ' the unexpired term of Antone L. Rosprim who resigned in A priI. College Station Mayor D. A. (Andy) Anderson termed the ,.
