AGENDA
A quorum of the City Council may or may not attend the Senior Advisory Committee Meeting.
I. Call to order.
II. Hear Visitors.
III. Approval of minutes from January 27, 2020 meeting.
IV. Report and possible discussion by Chairman Clay David Hanks.
V. Discussion on bird dung in and around the entrance to the building.
VI. Address the need for adequate handicap parking and reworking the parking lot
drainage to facilitate adequate drainage during rains.
VII. Discussion to reconfigure curbs to allow easier access to and from the building and
ADA paint requirements for curbs for safety and visual concerns.
VIII. Discuss Occupancy limits of rooms at the Meyer Center.
IX. Discussion on fund raising.
X. Presentation, possible action, and discussion on Senior Services Coordinator Report
regarding current and upcoming programs and events.
January 24 – Senior Trip to Old Towne Spring
February 14 – Valentine’s Day Senior Social at the Lincoln Center
February 19 – EHLL “Texas Law History” by Mr. Phil Banks
March 11 – Meyer Book club 10 a.m. – noon
March 18 – EHLL “Who’s Residing in the College Station Cemetery” by
Sherry Frisk
March 25 – TAMU Chronic Pain Self-Management Class Series starts from
noon to 2:30 p.m.
February 25 – LRC Rainbow Craft Frame 11a.m.-12:45 p.m.
February 26 – LRC Field Trip to the African American History Museum
February 28 – LRC Birthday Celebration 11a.m. – 1 p.m.
XI. Presentation, discussion, and possible action on future agenda items: A Committee
member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A
statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be
given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an
agenda for a subsequent meeting.
XII. Adjourn.

handgun), a person licensed under Subchapter H, Chapter 411, Government Code (handgun
licensing law), may not enter this property with a handgun that is carried openly”.

“Conforme a la Sección 30.07 del código penal (traspasar portando armas de mano al aire libre
con licencia), personas con licencia bajo del Sub-Capitulo H, Capitulo 411, Código de Gobierno
(Ley de licencias de arma de mano), no deben entrar a esta propiedad portando arma de mano al
aire libre”.
