In accepting his resignation
Mayor AMerson expressed mg
regrets. On behalf of the Coun-
cil he commended Rosprim for
his three years of faithful ser-
vice to the citv.
Anderson stated that a special
election Will be called, at the I
earliest possible date to fill the
vacancy created by Rosprim's I
resignation.
Dan R. Davis, who.is associ-
ated with the Agricultural Eco-
nomics and Sociology Depart-
ment of Texas A&M University,
announced his candidacy for the
office of Councilman, College
Station. . J
In making his annoucement,
Davis pledged that, if elected,
he would work on behalf of all l
people in the city. He also indi- ,
cated his support for the princi. I

Mayor Anderson. J
