Update on the Bob and Wanda Meyers Senior and Community Center from Kelly Kelby, Assistant Director of Parks & Recreation V. Remarks and possible discussion by Chairman Mickey Stokes VI. Presentation, possible action and discussion on Senior Services Coordinator Report regarding current and upcoming programs and events • September 4: 8:30a.m. Indoor Walking Group led by Susan Lehr moving in September to Tuesdays 9:30-10:00 a.m. & Wednesdays 9-9:30 a.m. • September 8: Saturday Senior Social at Southwood Community Center from 1-4 p.m. The center will be open for seniors that want to visit, play games, socialize or watch TV with friends. Please join us in the meeting room and support this new program • September 10: National Issues Forum "Land of Plenty" please sign up • September 12: Lunch and Learn by CS Emergency Management Coordinator Mr. Brian Hilton — please RSVP • September Mon -Fri: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Lincoln Center Fitness Center ages 50+ Free to use the facility • September Tuesday & Thursdays: Forevercise 1St/3rd Tues. & 2" d/4th Thurs. 10-10:30 a.m. Helene Krc is teaching — schedule options • September 18: TAMU AgriLife Extension Service offers a nutrition education class on the 3rd Tues on the month at The Lincoln Center from 10-11 a.m. • September 14 — October 5: Fridays from 2-3 p.m. Storytelling by Nancy Self Ph.D. — Please sign up, we need your support. Presentation, discussion and possible action on future agenda items: A Committee member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given.
