By law, license tags are required for certain Brazos County pet owners to show proof of ownership and rabies vaccinations. All dogs, cats and ferrets ages four months or older must be vaccinated for rabies by a licensed veterinarian each year. Are you new to Brazos County? Your pet will need a license tag as well. Animal Control officers will give citations to owners of pets without a Brazos County tag. The tag also provides 24-hour support for lost pets, up to $500 in trauma support, rides for lost or injured pets, rabies vaccine reminders, reduced impoundment fees and funds to support our local shelter. Brazos County pet license tags are $15 and can be purchased through your local veterinarian or the Aggieland Humane Society. Water Conservation Plans are valuable tools for water utilities and their customers by providing the best management practices for appropriate use of our limited water supplies. The plans contain strategies for reducing water consumption, reducing water loss (i.e., leaks), and improving the efficiency and reuse of water. Drought Contingency Plan Drought Contingency Plans are another important tool to help water utilities manage water supplies in times of drought and emergencies. The plans contain triggers for different levels of response and appropriate strategies to reduce water consumption. They are typically implemented over a short period of time in response to an emergency, such as a natural disaster or limitation in supply due to equipment failure, or extended drought. For more information on these plans and to find out how you can provide feedback, visit cstx.gov/water or call 979.764.3660. establishing a budget, seeking investors, providing customer service, and giving back to their community.
