Summer Residents
Watch Out for Water Waste
Save money, conserve precious drinking
water and have a beautiful lawn this
summer by following a few simple steps.
• Only water twice a week either
before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
• Avoid over-watering! It wastes
drinking water and your money!
• Check your sprinkler system for
leaks and fix them immediately.
• Make sure your sprinklers are watering
vegetation and not the pavement.
As a friendly reminder, the following watering
practices are against city ordinance:
• Operating an automatic sprinkler
system between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
• Allowing water to pond or
run down the street
• Broken sprinkler heads
• Failure to fix controllable leak(s)
• Hosing off hard surfaces
• Operating a fountain or pond
without a recirculation device
For more water tips and a recommended
watering schedule, visit cstx.gov/water.
