MBMBBRS PRBSBNT: All present MBMBBRS ABSENT: None STAFF PRBSBNT: Director of Planning Mayo, City Bngineer Pullen and Planning Technician Volk AfiBNDA ITBM N0. 1: Approval of Minutes - aeeting of June 20, 1985. Mr. Brochu made a motion to approve the minutes as presented; Mr. Paulson seconded the motion which carried unanimously (7-0). A(iBNDA ITEM N0. 2: Hear visitors. No one spoke. AfiBNDA ITBM N0. 3: 85-208: A public hearing to consider a resubdivision final plat of Lot 1 Bloclc 1 Chianey Hill Retail Plana subdivision which is bounded by University Drive, TarroM Street and Bast Tarrow Street. • Mr. Mayo explained that this replat has been done on this developed property for financing and/or ownership purposes; that all presubmission conference conditions have been met and staff recommends approval of this plat. The public hearing was opened. Christian Galindo, engineer for the plat came forward and offered to answer any questions, explaining that the odd configuration of the lots is to accom®odate the existing buildings and provide the required parking spaces for each building. Mr. Paulson asked if the corners of monuments have been set on the ground and Mr. Galindo answered that they have been and that metes and bounds have been used to describe the property. No one else spoke and the public hearing was closed. Mr. Paulson made a motion to approve this plat subject to review by staff and the surveyor to correct mathematical inaccuracies on the plat. Mra. Stallings seconded the motion. City Engineer Pullen explained that the subdivision ordinance does not require for mathematical checks by staff, therefore that is the responsibility of the public surveyor. Mr. MacGilvray suggested that the motion be amended to reflect approval subject to review for "possible" mathematical errors. Mr. Paulson would not agree to rephrasing the motion, and then withdrew his original motion. Mr. MacGilvray then made a motion to approve this plat subject to staff and the surveyor reviewing it for the possibility of mathematical errors on the plat. Mrs. Stallings seconded this motion which carried unanimously (7-0). AaBNDA ITEM N0. 4: 85-201: Final Plat - Sheraton University Inn (6.33 acres). • Mr. Mayo located the land reflected on this plat and explained that it is the site of the future location of the Sheraton hotel and that the site plan for this 1 P&Z Minutes 7-2-85 page 2 project has already been approved. He indicated staff recommends approval of this plat as shown. Mr. Dresser asked why the easement on the south side stops in the middle of this property and Mr. Mayo explained the easement is a service line easement for afire hydrant. Mr. Kaiser asked if the drainage easement is actually a holding basin and Mr. Mayo replied that it is. Mr. Paulson asked if the easements mentioned are separate instruments or blanket easements, as they are not reflected on the plat. Mr. Pullen replied that all easements have been received and are being reviewed; further that all easements on this land are shown on the plat and other easements required are not on this land. Mr. Paulson made a motion to approve the plat as shown; Mr. Brochu seconded the motion which carried unanimously (7-0). AQBDiDA ITED! K0. 5: Other business. Mrs. Stallings announced the meeting of the University Drive study committee would be held on Wednesday, July 3, 1985 at 3 p.m. Mr. Mayo asked for a decision to be made for date and time of the annual P&Z tour. Commission decided it should be on Tuesday, July 9th at 1:00 p.m. Mr. Mayo then announced the City Council and P&Z would have a combined workshop on Wednesday, July 24th at 4 p.m. to discuss the revised, draft zoning ordinance. Mr. Pullen then read from Ordinance 690 Section 6.D.4.2.1. which pertains to requirements (formal content) of plats. AOBNDA I?BM K0. 6: Ad3ourn. Mr. MacGilvray made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Dresser seconded the motion which carried unanimously (7-0).
