Commissioner Gardner presented a plan concerning the City of College Station
and the proposed annexation as to available land use and presented several maps which
showed the way the City of College Station was presently zoned. The maps showed
churches, schools and parks. Also located on the maps were interim plans for schools,
utility layouts, highway plans, etc. Commissioner Gardner stated that they were not
able to make an actual plan because they were not able to get the public directly
involved to determine their feelings. The data on one of the maps presented showed
the amount of land being used per the population. One of the maps presented was
concerned primarily with the specific zoning cases that are before the Commission
at present. After Mr. Gardner's presentation, there were questions from some of
the Commissioners as well as from citizens in the audience. Chairman Wells
