Present: Ed Burns, Chairman; Ran Boswell; Bob Schleider; Wendell Horne;• .
Tommie Preston; W. A. Smith.
Visitors: Bill Fitch and Ray Abbott.
The commission discussed extra territorial jurisdiction. Since North Bardell
was absent, no action was taken except that commission will meet the 19th of
October in a joint session with Bryan Planning and Zoning. Preliminary will
be held in College Station City Hall at 7:00 prior to Bryan meeting.
Bill Fitch presented a preliminary plat of Ridgefield Section #3 for approval
and further orally requested same to be annexed into the city limits. Zoning
of said tract will be deferred and discussed at a later date. Smith moved
that we recommend approval to city council subject to review and approval
by the city engineer. Seconded by Schleider. Motion passed. Commission
further instructed Bill Fitch to submit letter requesting approval of preliminary
plat and also letter requesting annexation of Ridgefield Section into city -
limits. Commission requested Bill Fitch to procure letter from A&M Con-
solidated School Board requesting annexation of school property into city
limits.
• Commission agreed further to have 7:00 meeting the 1st Monday in November
giving commission ample time to discuss further zoning in and around the
school property and the city in general.
Meeting adjourned - 6:15 p.m.
