CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION

Members Present: Richardson, Holleran, Sorenson, Hervey, Burns, Boswell
Members Absent: Smith, LaMotte
1. Discussion of Marion Pugh property re-opened. Mr. Pugh presented
deed describing access to street as mentioned in his deed. This right-of-way
apparently had never officially been dedicated to the city. Mention made of
opening up Meadowland Street as 50 foot right-of-way to College property and
road and Mr. Pugh agreed to discuss this with College authorities. Commission
also discussed with Mr. Pugh the possibility of opening up street through
le Gorzycki property to connect with Highwa0► 6 as a regular 50 foot street.
Possibility of contacting Joe Ferreri and Western and Sands Motel regarding

widening Meadowland Street from FM 60 discussed in that access area will
be needed to rear of Ramada Inn site.
Lei 2. Brazos Area Plan studied and discussed. Mention made of fact that
01 that Bryan authorities have not accepted plea due to problems concerning
zoning. Mr. Hervey moved: 1. Commission recommend to City Council adoption
of Brazos Area Plan in principle; 2. recommend co-operation of City Council
and local Citizens with City of Bryan, Brazos County, and A. & M. College
in implementing the Brazos Area Plan. The Commission recognizes that it is
. obligated to periodically review local conditions and up date the plan for
the general welfare and improvement of the City. Motion seconded by
C) Richardson and carried.

3. Motion by Sorenson that immediate action be taken carrying out
capital inprovemeats as suggested by the Brazos Area Plan. Motion seconded
by Burns and carried.
4. Future site of A. & M. Consolidated Elementary School discussed
by Mr. Hervey and location considered to conform with Brazos Area Plan.
