HomeMy WebLinkAboutCS Mayors and CouncilmembersCollege Station Election Results 1938 – College Station incorporation was approved by voters 217-39 in an election Oct. 19, 1938. On Nov. 13, 1938 a community meeting chose a mayor and five aldermen to serve until the April 4, 1939 election. Those chosen were not sworn in until March 3, 1939 after Texas Attorney General Gerald Mann ruled that faculty members of state owned schools were not state employees and therefore had a right to hold municipal offices.
