The mission of the 75th Anniversary Planning Committee is to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the City of College Station, home of Texas A&M University, by celebrating the past, honoring
the present and embracing the future.

4. Chair Report
Sharon Colson jan 3 8 pm- jan 5 and 6 at 6 pm, video anthology of 1st 50 years being run. Might incorporate video into exhibit. Est. 45-60 mins approx runtime.
Mike Neu is starting layout, wants a push for tell your story.
Provided handout of display items.—need to include.
5. Workshop Topic:
THE FOCUS OF THIS MONTH’S WORKSHOP WILL BE SPONSORSHIPS AND SPONSORSHIP LEVELS.
Sponsorship Packets: Everyone wants sponsorship levels. Harvell will contact Chamber of Commerce, white will talk to royce. Need to think up names for each level. Approx $50,000 total
est. budget. Need to get a finance person from city to hold the money raised.
100-community listing, station master, or train names.
500-+ underwriting of specific events, get name on parts of festival, conductor

SHERRY NEEDS TO CALL ABOUT FINANCE ENCUMBERING MONEYS, and ABOUT whether donations are tax deductible, payment mechanisms, etc.
Need to talk to Union Pacific about sponsorships.
6. Additional Planning and Reports related to 75th Activities
Will create list of cars and registration sheet
Cooper is Updating the Timeline for Project Hold.
Vintage Car—need to know how many spaces for cars- Tracy Paine
Need to work with upd for car security—min 3 hours, few hour fee parking lot 43 has 340 spaces total, --126, 107 spaces in parts. Consider fee or sponsorship. Communications can send
out notices and invites. Need a firm schedule for the cars. Bush library starts at 9:30 am. Each display needs an info card, placard. Bb and co will make a regist. form for next meeting.
For “Best of the 50s” reunion, is anything blocked hotel, not yet. Will occur at same time. Class agents set up itinerary and costs for each event item. Shannon will talk with Hilton
about rooms, est. 50 rooms and 1 hospitality room.
ANN H. sent me list of contact people. Need to make contact list.
Research Ramblers- some are indexing cemetery plots. On their website, putting pictures up.
Tracy Paine- for movie series—Our town, we’ve never been licked.
For Exhibit= Guion Hall, the Grove were significant. Art Adamson- taught people to swim. Wayne Stark. Trudies Kiddie College and We Aggieland. Campus Theatre.
Could invite people to have round table, tell your story day, in a way to get content, and get visibility.
Aggies would hitchhike, gig em was a hitchhike thing. Rich kids could get on train. Holland knows hitchhike places—eastgate, and college ave. Baptist church.
Bryan CS connection, and interurban.
Harvell will set up a facebook page.
