A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Executive Session will immediately follow the workshop meeting in the Administrative Conference Room. 1 Council Workshop Meeting Thursday, April 10, 2008 Page 2 Traditional Values, Progressive Thinking In the Research Valley Economic Incentive Negotiations {Gov’t Code Section 551.087}; possible action The City Council may deliberate on commercial or financial information that the City Council has received from a business prospect that the City Council seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the city with which the City Council in conducting economic development negotiations may deliberate on an offer of financial or other incentives for a business prospect. After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public. The following subject(s) may be discussed: a. Hotel and Conference Center Real Estate {Gov’t Code Section 551.072}; possible action The City Council may deliberate the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property if deliberation in an open meeting would have a detrimental effect on the position of the City in negotiations with a third person. After executive session discussion, any final action or vote taken will be in public. The following subject(s) may be discussed: a. A possible land exchange, sale or combination thereof by the City of College Station near the intersection of Jones Butler Road and FM 2818, and near the intersection of Dowling Road and Jones-Butler Road 7. Action on executive session, or any workshop agenda item not completed or discussed in today’s workshop meeting will be discussed in tonight’s Regular Meeting if necessary. 8. Adjourn. Council meetings are broadcast live on Cable Access Channel 19. 3 April 10, 2008 Workshop Agenda Capital Projects Tour To: Glenn Brown, City Manager From: Chuck Gilman, Director of Capital Projects Agenda Caption: Presentation, tour and discussion of various capital improvement projects. Recommendation(s): N/A Summary: The purpose of this tour is to inform, and update the Council on the current status of on-going Capital Improvement Projects in the City. The tour consists of two components – a short video (virtual tour) on eight (8) projects that are not included in the tour, and a bus tour to nine (9) projects. The virtual tour will be presented in council chambers, and the bus tour will begin and end at City Hall. Exhibits and figures providing pertinent information on the projects discussed during the bus tour will be provided. Budget & Financial Summary: N/A Attachments: None 4
