• 1. Branch Manager
i. Kathy Nixie
ii. Begins October 3
iii. Experience as librarian in Plano and LaMarque
iv. Experience as a library manger
2. BTOP Grant
i. Computers have been deployed at Mounce and Carnegie.
ii. Handicapped computers are installed,but not yet made available to
the public.
iii. CS IT department is working on Ringer computers.
iv. Wendell will begin repurposing the old public computers to be used
as catalogs.
v. Our only further obligation is to provide user stats to BTOP and to
track the number of classes offered and attendance.
3. eAudiobooks
i. No current download stats available.
ii. Still having some problems with the EBSCOHost site.
iii. Recorded Books player still in development.

4. Overdrive
i. Friends will budget funds to allow BCSPLS to join Overdrive ($8,000)
ii. Access to ebooks, eaudiobooks,music, games,and movies.
iii. May replace Recorded Books as eaudiobooks provider depending on
the length of time it takes to get RB available again.
5. CTLS Fall Meeting
i. Cedar Park Rec Center,September 23 at 9:30.
ii. Meeting at 10:00.
iii. Workshop at 1:00.
