BRYAN COLLEGE STATION PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM ADVISORY BOARD
September 2,2015
On the 2nd day of September 2015,the Bryan College Station Public Library System Advisory Board of
the cities of Bryan and College Station,Texas met in a special called meeting at the Larry J. Ringer
Library, 1818 Harvey Mitchell Parkway S., College Station,Texas 77845.
1. President Larry J.Ringer called the meeting to order at 5:40 p.m. and the following were present:

3. Other guests were Dr. Larry Koeninger, Library System Director; David Schmitz, College Station
• Parks and Recreation Director; and Laura Mills,Library Adm. Asst.; Jessica Jones,Ringer Library
Manager; and Joey Dunn,Deputy City Manager of Bryan. Representatives from College Station were
Emily Fisher and Robert McCartney, Sr. The Komatsu Architecture Company was represented by Karl
Komatsu,Amy Sibley and Les Edmonds. Citizens present were Clara Mounce,Donna Pohl, Anne Orrell,
Denise Parker, Susan Adams,James Smith, Emily Whisenhant,Joyce Kobel,Russell Kobel,Valerie
Johnson,Patricia Martinez and Linda Larson.
4. Komatsu Architecture presented the preliminary plans for the Ringer Library expansion. Several
board members had concerns about the design.
5. The Board recessed for a short time.
6. Larry Ringer announced that the meeting reconvened at 6:40 p.m.
7. There was a repeat of the Komatsu Architecture presentation as other citizens arrived.
8. There was a question and answer session with Komatsu Architecture.
9. The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
