AGENDA
1. Open Carry
a. Patrons will be allowed to open carry in the libraries.
b. Staff is not allowed to ask if the patron is licensed to carry.
c. Patrons who wish to call police must do so themselves.
d. Staff is not allowed to open carry per city policy.
e. Patrons Rights and Responsibilities flyer and bookmarks have been modified to remove the ban on
weapons.
2. Pronunciator
a. Foreign language and ESL online
b. Developing website
c. Just added weekly conversation sessions(30 minutes)
d. Funding provided by the Friends of the Library
3. Tax Forms
a. In the latest from the IRS the libraries should receive, 1040, 1040A and 1040EZ forms and instructions,
• one Pub 17, and one binder with reproducible forms.
b. Mounce also has a small quantity of some business forms.
4. Family Place Workshop
a. Play 2 Learn
b. First session is January 26.
c. First 20 slots have been reserved and a waiting list has been opened.
5. Mounce Elevator
a. Bids were received and one has been recommended by staff.
b. A contract will be executed pending Bryan City Council approval.
c. Installation will probably be in May and will take approximately one month.
