. OF THE BRYAN LIBRARY BOARD
FEBRUARY 17, 1982
The Bryan Library Board of Trustees met in regular session February 17, 1982.
Present were Mrs. Bookman Peters, Mrs. Willie Belle Bogard, Mrs. Willie Pruitt, and
Mr ,Mickey McGuire.
Excused were Mrs. C. J. Allen, Mrs. R. H. Harrison III, and Mr. Vic ,Paulos.
The minutes of the January meeting were approved as mailed. The book list
and statistics were discussed.
A discussion about the use of the restricted fund, Rountree, concluded with a
decision to purchase a new typewriter for the children's department.
Mrs. Pruitt requested a bibliography on books for young people dealing with
divorce. The librarian will prepare a listing of the library's holdings in this
area.
• The new Bookmobile Librarian, Linda Parkin, was introduced. Mrs. Parkin dis-
cussed her first few days on the Bookmobile and some of her past experiences in =L
libraries in Houston and Austin. She will be doing a special study for the
University of Texas Graduate Library School this summer and expects to focus on
the Bryan Public Library Bookmobile, using slides to illustrate the services it
provides.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:20 p.m.

On the 17th of February, 1982, the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas convened
in regular session in the regular meeting place in the Reference Room located in the
Library Building at 5 p.m. with the following members present.
