Friends of the Library MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING • OF THE BRYAN LIBRARY BOARD MARCH 15, 1979 THE STATE OF TEXAS: BRAZOS COUNTY: CITY OF BRYAN: On the 15th of March, 1979, the Library Board of the City of Bryan, Texas convened in regular session in the regular meeting place in the Reference Room located in the Library Building at 5 p.m. with the following members present. ITEM 2: The booklist was accepted. ITEM 3: Under old business, the librarian reported on her meeting with the Bryan City Council concerning the collection agent's contract. ITEM 4: Mrs. Holmgreen reported on the meeting with Mr. Ernest Clark, City Manager and Mr. Travis Bryan, concerning the Blinn College situation. Mr. Clark is interested in pursuing this matter. ITEM 5: Under new business, the Library Board commended the librarian on the unique, informative Annual Reports for 1977-78. ITEM 6: Mrs. Pringle informed the Board that a pay telephone will be installed in the foyer of the library. ITEM 7: Mrs. Peters discussed starting an oral history tape collection from area citizens. Mrs. Pringle will contact the RSVP organization and local historical groups and report back to the Board The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m. Mrs. R. J.
