Page 1 of 1 Project Update Week of August 11,2014 Raintree Park-Met with the contractor last week to review shop drawings for the shelter.The change was made from 30 year shingles to a metal roof.The rest of the drawings stayed the same. A Notice to Proceed was given the same day.Quality Construction will start demo in two weeks. Veterans Park Shelter—The shelter is standing.The structural metal was delivered to Veterans late last week (Thursday or Friday).The structure was erected Friday or Saturday.The slab was poured at the same time since the anchor bolts needed to be covered per the design plans.The roof was stared yesterday as well. I expect the entire shelter to be done in the next two weeks. Veterans Drainage-I need to contact Ed and see the progress on the drain between the new synthetic fields and the grass fields. Veterans Shop Expansion-Ed is taking submittals from the contractor now. Once he has them all and approved, he will set a preconstruction meeting. Veterans Bollards—Obtained quotes for 14 bollards.Will place order this week. Bollards will be surface mounted and installed in house. Veterans Synthetic Rules signs—The new signs are being made. Have three to four weeks production time. Veterans Entry from Harvey Road—Public Works is too busy to assist with the project.Will compile a list of contractors to contact regarding the work. Sandstone—For the most part this project is done.The heavy rain we've had over the past couple of weeks has delayed the completion to some degree.The hydro-mulch went down Thursday(July 3151),with heavy rain right behind it,which washed some of the seed away.The Project Manager and I discussed the issue on Friday.We will give it a week or two to see what comes up. If we are not happy with the results,CenTex will come back out and reseed.A pay app was dropped off today,with us retaining ten percent till we are happy. Southwest Park Phase II—No change here. Dudley Construction is scheduled to start this week. Parkway Park-Pea gravel removed,drainage installed, pour new concrete and install surfacing. Expect project to be completed end of August Wolf Pen Creek Fitness—The contract is making the rounds for approval.The last update,the contract is waiting the City Mangers approval. Wolf Pen Creek Drainage—I have received bids from only on company,Vox Construction.Almost all contractors are too busy at this time. I'm waiting on a reply from one contractor that said he would give me a price. If I do not receive a quote from them by the end of the week, I will give Vox Construction the ok to start. Boyett Street Home-Obtaining bids for prices on asbestos abatement and demo.There's the chance a few trees maybe damaged or have to be removed in order for the demo to happen. Pebble Creek play structure and WPC prefab restroom-No change on either one of these projects. Bee Creek and Thomas Park—Bee Creek scope modified.Will get new bid spec information to Heather, buyer.
