TUESDAY, APRIL 09, 2013 REGULAR MEETING MINUTES - 7:OOPM Wolf Pen Creek Green Room 1015 Colgate College Station, TX 77840 Staff Present: David Schmitz, Director; Peter Lamont, Assistant Director - Programs; Pete Vanecek, Senior Parks Planner; Heather Lupoli, Board Secretary; Vanessa Garza, Greenways Board Present: Jon Denton, Chair; David Ohendalski; Louis Hodges; Ida Bellows; Sherry Ellison; Billy Hart ; Debe Shafer Visitors: Jerry Garcia; Jacob Yanez; Kelsy Alexander; Kellye Hunter; Bunny Pratt 1. CaII to order and Roll Call. The meeting was called to order with a quorum present at 7:03 PM. 2. Possible action concerning requests for absences of members. Shawn Reynolds had sent in a request for absence. Sherry Ellison made a motion to approve the absence request submitted, and David Ohendalski seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously 3. Hear visitors. Hearing none, this item was closed 4. Consideration, possible approval, and discussion of minutes from the meeting of March 12, 2013. Billy Hart made a motion to approve the minutes as submitted, and Louis Hodges seconded the motion. The vote was called. All were in favor, and the motion passed unanimously 5.Presentation by Bryan Rotary, Bunny Pratt, on the Veteran's Memorial 1,000 Flag Project. This was an informational item only, and no action was taken 6. Update on Greenways from Vanessa Garza. This was an informational item only, and no action was taken 7.Overview of the process for hosting marathons from Peter Lamont. This was an informational item only, and no action was taken 8. Report on the Big Event ,Trash Off and Arbor Day from David Schmitz. This was an informational item only, and no action was taken 9.Update on Senior Games from Peter Lamont. This was an informational item only, and no action was taken 10. Discussion and possible action concerning the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Goals for FY13. This was an informational item only, and no action was taken 11. Report, possible action, and discussion concerning the current Capital Improvements Program: The building is wheelchair accessible. Handicap parking spaces are available. Any request for sign interpretive services must be made at least 48 hours before the meeting.
